Cincinnati Summary

Cincinnati Insurance was founded in 1950 by a group of four insurance agents, and continues to sell insurance through independent agents to this day. The company continues its focus on local, personal service as a major selling point. Company headquarters is located in Fairfield, Ohio, but they have branch offices located in various locations across the nation.

Cincinnati offers a basic lineup of personal insurance products, including the big three: auto insurance, home insurance, and life insurance. They also write a wide variety of business insurance products.

Auto Insurance

Cincinnati Insurance offers a solid auto insurance program with all of the basics plus a list of included features and optional add-ons. One of the added features strongly promoted on the website is the enhanced rental car coverage. This coverage protects drivers in a rental car for liability and damage to the vehicle without a deductible.

The Personal Auto Plus add-on package includes a list of additional features such as:

Because online quoting is not available, it is not possible for a quick price comparison of Cincinnati Insurance, but as an agent-driven company we would expect commissions to impact rates.

That said, reviews of the company seem to reflect competitive rates and customers pleased with the prices of the products. They may not compete with major direct-buy companies, but appear to offer fair prices to their target market – those who want personal service and will pay a little more for it.

Claims

In keeping with their agent-based business plan, Cincinnati Insurance claims can be reported directly through agents. There is also a 24-hour toll-free line: 877-242-2544 through which claims can be reported directly. The lack of online quoting is surprising for such a large company, although there is a policyholder login which may offer claims tracking – this is not made clear on the website.

Life, Worker’s Compensation, and glass-only claims are reported through their own claims phone numbers found on the website.

There is no information on the website regarding how claims are handled, aside from a promise to handle them by seeking coverage and not loopholes to avoid paying. Claims are likely handled in the standard format, with an adjuster assigned and investigating the claim before determining coverage and offering a settlement.

Consumer Research and Complaints

The BBB lists Cincinnati Insurance under its parent company, Cincinnati Financial, and has an A+ rating. The company has been accredited since 1981. There are only a total of 14 complaints registered against the company in the past three years, six of which were closed in the past 12 months. The low number may be a result of confusion between company names, as Cincinnati Insurance policyholders may not leave complaints under the parent company, but even so this is very low.

Other reviews across the Internet reflect generally happy customers, citing fast, fair claims service and good rates. Customers appear to be loyal to the company, often citing 20 or more years with Cincinnati. Minor complaints include rate increases, but overall the company has a very positive reputation.

  1. August 6 I had a lightning strike a large tree not far from my home.

    There was a power cord on the ground next to a tree and running power to a fence.

    The strike of the tree took the surge into my home where I through 6 breakers and blew the side out of the tree and went as far as to melt a steel dog runner cable running from tree to house.

    I come to find most of all my electronics and appliances in my home including garage door opener and most important my refrigerator rendered useless.

    I call Cincinnati insurance claims. They take my claim over the phone and assign me a claims adjuster.

    By morning I had a new adjuster and no call. That afternoon 20 some hrs after the lighting hit I get a call from there adjuster (haha unprofessional at best) telling me I need to find a company to come to my home and service all the electronics and appliances at my expense and time.

    (Really) I then am rudely given her supervisors name and number.

    I call it goes straight to a recording the # I called is busy. Understand it did not ring or give a busy tone just a recording.

    So I call claims again and was given another number to her supervisor.

    Well guess what that went to a generic voice mail system, no name nothing, just a cell providers general voice mail ( professional I think not).

    So up the ladder, I go and let me tell you that ladder is getting weak and unsafe.

    So now I get the boss of a boss lol. Meantime all my food is going to waste.

    So now I have an appliance repair to come out on the 13th of August ( well toss all my food out ) to look it over and to tell me the cost if can be repaired.

    Then pay for the service call and pay for repairs if can be and hope Cincinnati reimburses me. ( lol prob not for some reason)

    So here I am all electronics dead in my house.

    No food to cook cause no refrigerator to keep it in, no internet no tv, nothing but lights and roof over my head till Cincinnati figures out how to save there self a buck while there paying customer of over 12 yrs no claim may I add aS I sit here waiting.

    Cincinnati insurance is a freaking joke and you do well staying as far from the as poss.

    Oh and if you read this Cincinnati insurance co.

    I already getting quotes so I can put your cheap _ ss in my mirror and trust me I will spread this experience like the common cold.

    Better pay for my meals out each day till I get my refrigerator or a refrigerator working in my home.

    By the way my agent also useless in anything but signing people up for 3rd rate insurance company.

  2. I want to know why a company that I pay refuses to answer questions about your policy. Every time I call I get passed on to the agent, and then when the agent doesn’t answer your question a normal person should be able to call the company he pays to get an answer. Even when asking NOT to get passed on to the agent, they do it anyway. My insurance has been great till now, got an increase from $1200 a year to $1800 without a reason why. Not the agent or company has an answer for the increase. I live on a VA disability budget increasing my rates $600 makes a BIG money problem for me, I deserve an answer.

  3. After almost 30 years with Farmers and zero claims, they doubled my premiums after an accident caused by a damaged road surface! I switched all my policies to Cincinnati. A year later, we had a regional sewer backup that flooded tens of thousands of basement in three counties. Most of my neighbors were insured by AAA and didn’t get a cent. I called my agent who said “you’re covered” as soon as I gave her my name. Cincinnati sent over an adjuster about three days later. It took him about ten minutes to say “There’s obviously more than $5,000 in damage here” and I had a check in hand two days later. It’s been four years since the flood, and my household policy premium is still the same.

  4. Cincinnati Insurance declined to renew my auto insurance after my vehicle was hit by a hit and run driver. They’ll take your money as long as they don’t have to pay out, apparently.

    • I had a similar situation with Cincinnati where I had a no-fault accident were I was injured. I had med pay and used it when the other insurance company was out of state and not responding to my inquiries! At renewal, they denied my auto policy but sent me a renewal for my home. In shopping around I found that my insurance more than doubled. It was not till I contacted an honest insurance agent that informed me Cincinnati reported me at fault to LEXUS Nexis for the accident due to using my MED PAY from my policy that I was paying a premium for. All insurance carriers use the same databases to protect themselves from liability. So, Cincinnati royally screwed me with every insurance carrier when they dinged me for using my Med Pay from my policy. They are all crooks and I am still thinking of suing Cincinnati since dinging me for using my policies Med Pay premium option is against the law but it allows insurance carriers to increase your rates to be more profitable.

  5. Cincinnati Insurance has made the experience of getting our car fixed with good parts, in a timely manner, terribly frustrating. We use USAA and decided to go with their insurance since it was their insurer who hit us. The adjuster we are working with is unprofessional and so I decided to get his bosses number. Well, his boss [Redacted] is also extremely unprofessional. I would never recommend using this insurance company, or anything. Use your own insurance company. This company will just try and waste your time and apparently waste their own money. Cause if my car breaks because of them putting aftermarket parts on it, they get to fix it again…

In August my husband and I were rear ended by your insured.It was our first day of vacation in another state.We were hit by a city vehicle, investigated by a city policeman and contacted a Cincinnati adjuster, who also has his business in that small town. I have never been a victem of the good old boy system before.Believe me it is not pretty.The adjuster was a combative bully who immediately attacked me verbally in such a personal way.I had to hang up the phone to stop his rant.It has been2 months and no repairs to our vehicle.To say we have been treated unfairly and like stupid people is a understatement.We are both in our 70’s and we have come to the conclussion that we will have to hire a attorney,which we did not want to do, and sue the individual and the chamber of commerce in order to get our claim resolved.Stress does not begin to describe our ordeal,In addition to the medical bills and loss of work.If Cincinnatti Insurance is so good, why do they employ people of this caliber?

  7. My auto was hit by one of your clients. Your company’s representative ([Redacted]) has shown anger and contempt towards three members of my family, he has not been an honest broker, he is slow to responds to inquires, seem to have concern only for your company’s bottom line, he wants others to do his work, and uses tactics of punishment to pressure my into settlements. I am glad you are not my insurance company. I know of no incident where USAA treated anyone with these methods!

  8. Let me tell you about their claims process, I fell in a building (their fault) and they filed a claim to pay my er bill. At first adjustor commented they would take care of ER bill as I did not want any compensation just the bill paid. Then 30 days later they retracted their comment and forced me into hiring an attorney. The bill was 3k if they would have paid it I would not have gotten attorney. Now I had no choice. My health ins will not cover as it happened on their property and it was their fault. This is under the GL policy.

  9. This is how Cincinnati Insurance Companies treat its 20-year customers paying $3,400 a year for homeowner coverage (along with numerous vehicles) who’ve never filed any claims:

    **********LETTER FROM CINCINNATI INSURANCE COMPANIES DATED 6/17/2017*****************

    A recent inspection of your home found the roof to be in poor condition. When shingles are no longer in good condition they fail to prevent water, ice, and snow from entering the home. Too keep this homeowner policy in force and avoid Non-Renewal, we will require a professional to replace the entire roof.

    Our personal lines underwriting department is allowing until 03/17/2018 to address this issue and provide physical proof of such replacement (in the form of receipts and photos of completed project) or a singed contract to complete the replacement.

    No phone call, just a threatening letter giving us three months to re-roof the house (Northern Minnesota) or they will cancel our policy, even though our contractor doesn’t agree that the shingles need replacing (30-year shingles are only 20 years old). At some point the underwriter snuck onto our property and inspected our house without our knowledge, and apparently is paid a commission for forcing homeowners to re-roof their houses ahead of schedule.

    Apparently CIC has more customers than they desire, as this is NOT how long term customers should be treated. So we are spending the $40,000 to replace the roof, and then we will gladly help CIC in its quest to reduce the size of the their customer base.

    • Where is the threatening part of the letter? I don’t see it.
      Underwriters work in offices, assessing risk; they don’t sneak onto your property. Your contract does, however, give your insurance carrier the right to inspect that they insure. And, underwriters are not paid on commission and don’t receive more salary based on them requiring safety & mitigation measures to protect their risks. Suggest you have a reputable roofer of your choice write up an evaluation of your roof’s condition and assessment of the roof’s remaining life; have never known a carrier not to use a client’s “expert’s opinion” as the basic of a decision for repairs; their inspector’s look-see gives an overall impression, you are within your rights to respond with a “counter assessment.”

  10. I have been with many insurance companies over the years. My experience with Cincinnati has involved only one claim in the last five years that I have been with them. I have found there responsiveness to be excellent and their claims representatives to very extremely cooperative. They seem to get it and I am thankful to be one of their insured.

I’ve had insurance coverage with Cincinnati Insurance for all my insurance needs for about 6 years now after switching from Acuity where I had a very bad experience concerning a homeowners liability matter. During my time with Cincinnatti I’ve had two auto claims. One involving a minor collision (no fault), the other being a situation where one of my vehicle’s paint was damaged due to remnants of poor roadway repayment. In both cases, the adjuster was great and my vehicles were repaired to perfection.

    I’m very pleased with Cincinnati Insurance and would recommed them to anyone.

  12. Does anyone know, did State Farm ever pay out the billions in claims filed after Katrina? I know they fought like heck in court to deny payment on thousands of claims, telling the judge they’d go belly up if they were made to honor the claims. The judge ordered them to pay but State Farm appealed. Does anyone know if they ever paid? I’ve researched but have never been able to find.

    I’m going with Cincinnati now for home and auto. Keeping my fingers crossed that I never have a claim. Sounds like some of you have had trouble. We’ll see how it goes, and report back.

  13. I have had Cincinnati Insurance for over 15 years. Last year I purchased a condominium, with the assistance of office staff I was guided to over insure said condo for items I would NEVER be reimbursed for, EVER. When brought to the attention of said office staff, they were defensive and combative all while doing a whole lot of CYA. I received a negative on the requests for reimbursement of overpayment/overcharge for unnecessary insurance.
    Also, approximately 8 years ago, we had a flood in basement of home, they cleaned it up, and that was it. We went with no carpet for another 3 years. Very cold concrete floors in daughters bedrooms.
    Thank you CIncinnati Insurance for a hard lesson learned…..NEVER TRUST AN INSURANCE AGENT OR THEIR REPRESENTATIVES.

    • So sorry for your troubles. I know it is terrible when such events happen and you don’t have the insurance that you thought you had. I’m not sure where you are in the country, so I can’t speak to your specific location, but in NY an agent is only technically allowed to place insurance. All else must come from discussions between the carriers and insureds, relayed by the agent. I’m not sure what you mean by guided to over insure the condo. Replacement Costs (at least in NY) have to be based on actual industry standards. You can’t just make up values. Also, I do not know what you actually mean by “Flood” There are very strict regulations (Federal) as to what a Flood is. If it was truly a Flood, that is not (and can not) be covered on a Standard Homeowners/Renters/Condo etc, etc. policy. Insurance for a actual flood Flood.as defined by FEMA

      A general and temporary condition of partial or complete inundation of 2 or more acres of normally dry land area or of 2 or more properties (at least 1 of which is the policyholder’s property) from:
      –Overflow of inland or tidal waters; or
      –Unusual and rapid accumulation or runoff of surface waters from any source; or
      –Mudflow;or
      Must come from the National Flood Program for the 1st $250,000.
      If you a water leak (Water damage from a normally contained water service) that usually has a sublimit on the policy (Not the full limit.) It is usually required that you determine what this limit should be.

      As for no carpet in your daughters room for 3 years? That is just irresponsible of you. Remnant rolls are cheap and would have sufficed until the claim was settled. You can’t blame that on the insurance company. Even if they don’t pay, YOU had a responsibility to her to replace it. Insurance or not.

  14. I’ve been a customer for 25 years – auto, renter’s, homeowners, rider policies. I think I’ve made maybe 4 claims in those 25 years. Never been late on a payment. Ever.

    Last year I damaged my vehicle to the tune of $10k after hydroplaning on the highway. My vehicle is only a few years old, and has full-coverage.

    At this time, I have yet to have anything repaired or reimbursed. Nothing. Zero. I have made repeated calls to the adjuster assigned to my case, with no response. I have sent letters, with no response. I call the main office, and just get referred to the adjuster again. It’s like a neverending [Redacted].

    At this point, I’m ready to hire a lawyer and sue. I’ll also be filing formal complaints with the Ohio Department of Insurance and the BBB for sure.

    Go read the reviews on Glassdoor for yourself, and see what’s really going on inside of the company from its own employees. It’s a real eye-opener let me say. And to avoid potential customers from seeing what kind of company they really are, they have no accounts created on Google, Yelp, or anywhere else mainstream (this site is one of the only available). So customers having dealings with them cannot rate their experiences. How convenient.

    I can honestly say that I have never had such a poor experience with an insurance company, and I will NEVER use Cincinnati Insurance ever again. If you are a customer, I sincerely hope that you never have to make a claim with this awful company. If you are shopping for insurance, avoid Cincinnati Insurance like the plague.

  15. WE just recently had our roofer make a big mistake on our home and it was flooded. So we have to put in new ceilings, walls, and insulation. Maybe electrical. The insurance adjuster came to look and said they probably won’t pay for much? Hmmmm. that’s out of the ordinary. We are still waiting. This insurance company also said we have to do all the work ourself then they will pay us based on how much it is. They are taking the depreciation very seriously. Not to mention we have a family of 5 beautiful children and two hard working parents living there. It is a 1920 Colonial style house which was remodeled very nicely. So far, I would stay clear of them. There has been no definite answers and very wishy washy. You will have “an agent” reply saying their company is great, but I’d still stay away. Too many bad reviews in my opinion. We are going to have a lawsuit on our hands which is very unfortunate.

    • You are suing the wrong person genius. The roofer is responsible for your loss. An insurance company is not liable for damages caused by faulty installation. Any reputable lawyer will laugh you out of his office.

  16. I have used this company for over 20 years, with maybe two or three minor claims, for home and car coverage. I recently missed a payment. On May 9, I received notice that my coverage was cancelled and needed to be paid on May 9. I sent a check, but I was told that I was effectively cancelled. I had to work through my agent to get reinstated. So they now have two payments so that I would not lose coverage.

    This is horrible customer service. No reasonable notice of missing a payment. No way to reinstate unless I sent them, in effect, an EFT payment. So I have instructed my agent to find someone else. If they want to treat me that way, I will find someone else. I also plan on providing a complaint to the state insurance commissioner.

  17. I unfortunately had my first and last experience with Cincinnati Insurance Company leave a very bad taste In my mouth. I was in a car accident on 3/23/16 involving one of the company’s insured commercial trucks. I was told my adjusters name was [Redacted] out of their Atlanta, GA office. I was hit sitting at a red light by the vehicle who was hit by the company’s insured driver (IBP). In essence I was the innocent party in the accident. After not being contacted by Cincinnati Insurance Company at all. My attorney finally was able to get the information for the adjuster [Redacted] on 4/1/16. I left two messages for [Redacted] with no return phone call. On Monday 4/4/16 I reached [Redacted] via telephone and was greeted with the most disrespectful greeting to start with. [Redacted] was very combative and was clear he was not going to assist in any way shape or form making me 100% whole again due to his insured driver’s negligence. He just kept stating I need to call my attorney (which he seemed very bothered by). He refused to give me a time frame on when he was able to see my vehicle so that the repairs can be started. He refused to tell me if I was able to get a rental car with the police, He refused to take my statement and told me the police report was inconclusive. I have never been treated so unfairly. I again am without a vehicle and missing time from work due to injuries and he absolutely could have cared less. I am aware that my attorney and the repair shop have made several attempts to reach [Redacted] and he has not reached out to them either. I am contacting the corporate office and making them aware of the situation and I am going to request a different adjuster. [Redacted] should not be able to work with the public he has a horrible attitude!

    • The same thing happened to me, I was the parked driver, it was on May 9, 2017, and I have not got anything but delay from this company. I will soon need to hire an attorney, as there is a one year window to sue for your damages.

  18. December 2015 I decided to cancel my Life Insurance with Cincinnati Life Insurance Co. Shortly after I cancelled, I received a letter from a Customer Service Representative requesting four things (who shall remain nameless): 1. Cancellation Request. 2. A returned policy (I made a special trip to make copies at Home Depot, then to the Post Office). 3) Completed the IRS W-9 form. 4) EFT Form.
    I was told I was going to get back the December 2015 payment, which I never received. So I decided to leave a message on March 9th, and I decided to call back on the 10th. I got a “sarcastic life insurance department customer service representative,” who said that I was not going to get what I paid on the month of December. Cincinnati Insurance Company, go ahead enjoy my last payment, but one thing is for sure “I’LL NEVER RECOMMEND YOUR COMPANY TO MY FRIENDS.” I’m glad I’m no longer dealing with you because you contradict yourselves, and I’m not going to pay my hard earned money to a company and employees whose words are “WORTHLESS, AND CONTRADICTORY” like yours.
    I went out of my way to send you your stinking documents in timely manner, and in good faith. I regret I wasted my money and time on you, it would’ve been cheaper to simply shred those documents in the comfort of my home. Never again, I will deal with you, Cincinnati Life. Whoever reads this, “don’t make the same mistake I made. Find a better insurance somewhere else where you won’t be deceived, and given conflicting responses.

  19. I would not use them. My car was damaged by one of their clients (who by the way had 7 civil complaints and police reports in a two day period as they repaved our town roads) and they refused to reimburse me my deductible. Throughout months of calling them, I experienced extreme unprofessionalism, flat out lies and border line verbal abuse. I was called unprofessional, talked down to like a child. Not to mention the one secretary who thought I was on hold was talking about me as I waited to talk to her boss. Her boss by the way had told me to call that day and then “he wasn’t there” and did not return any phone calls from me. Also the insurance adjuster expected me to meet him where my car was damaged because he didn’t understand what had happened. I sincerely doubt he met up with everyone who had filed a complaint.

  20. Our family would not use Cincinnati insurance again. After paying insurance with Cincinnati for 15 years on her house and four cars, they would not replace our roof after a 2010 hailstorm. The hailstorm center was in our neighborhood and everyone with in a 5 mile radius had their roofs replaced. Our friend was staying overnight and her car was parked outside. Her new car sustained $14,000 worth of damage. Essentially totaled. She and her insurance company decided to repair the car because it was only four days old. It was her choice as she had waited 3 months for the car. We had a Cincinatti mediator come and look at the roof and he said no deal.

    In 2012, we had to replace a header above our kitchen window and the entire window because of roof leaks. We have also had leaks in the sunroom and again in our kitchen and screen porch. Upon inspection of the leaks, a construction company suggested we needed to have our roof replaced right away because roof is so badly damaged. In September, 2015… We replaced all our six leaking skylights in our sunroom with two new skylights and A new roof above the sunroom. We wanted to wait until summer 2016 to replace our roof but the suggestion was to do it immediately because of our leaky roof. In two days, it is Thanksgiving and we have had roofers here for one whole week. We hope they finish before we get more snow. We are paying for the roof out-of-pocket.

  21. my father inlaw has had this insurance for 30+ years. has not had a problem until now. it started last year when he was told he had to move a wood pile next to his house. the wood has been there for 30 years and the house is all brick. he did move the wood. he then received a letter in regards to his grand daughter moving in. he called to question why he got the letter. he was told he had a conversation about this last year. no one has moved in and he never told them his grand daughter was moving in. then he was questioned as to who else lives in the home. he did tell them it wasn’t any of their business. he was told well if someone was living with him they could use his car? he could have someone drive his car and not live with him. now he was told he needs a new roof. the roof is maybe 10-12 years old. what is going on? I’ve never heard of any insurance company making such demands.

  22. This is an amazing insurance company. My father passed in 2013 and I never knew that he had life insurance. In late July of 2015 I received a letter from Cincinnati Life letting me know that he did and I was the beneficiary. I’ve moved since he passed and I have no idea how they found me but they made sure that his claim was paid out. It took less than a week. It would’ve been sooner but my name had changed when I got married and they just wanted to verify that I was the correct person. They made everything so simple and easy. I would recommend this company to everyone.

  23. STAY AWAY!!! NEVER DOING BUSINESS AGAIN WITH THEM!!! After paying a late fee for my car insurance policy- which was 66% the total of my of my bill, I was sent a letter informing me a rescission fee would be added to my next bill. I refuse to do business with a company that doubles down on fees. Especially a fee for correcting your mistake!!!

  24. I have to disagree with your comment about term life insurance. Your blanket statement about agents is just as bad or worse as saying most everyone should only buy term life. People do need something to cover them after work or retirement and term just isn’t designed to do that. Whole life gives the option to get some, all, or more than you paid in premium back in your pocket if you don’t need the poiicy anymore.

    Cincinnati also offers Term with return of premium. At the end of the term, instead of the insurance company keeping your premium, you have the option to get that money back OR get a reduced policy that covers you for the rest of your life without further payment.

    With interest rates currently low, I don’t recommend Universal Life to anyone at the moment.

    To update your knowledge on commissions, Cincinnati–and many insurers– now pay agents pretty much the same percentage on term as other products. We are paid commission for one year before that commission number falls off the table. For me–and many of the people I’ve worked with–commission is last on the list of considerations.

    I recommend term if premium cost is the prime motivator or if the policy is targeted to cover a particular expense. But the truth is that industry-wide insurance companies don’t pay a claim on term life 98% of the time. the reason is because when the term ends, policy holders find themselves too old to get term anymore and/or everything else is extremely expensive.

      The reality is that the math simply does not work when it comes to permanent life insurance products. You pay in massive amounts in premiums, and the returns are dismal compared to investing that money yourself.

      Does everyone have the discipline to buy term life and invest the difference? Probably not, but that doesn’t make the math any more favorable.

      The bottom line is for most people that are building a financial plan and looking to protect themselves with life insurance, they can do better by purchasing cheap term coverage and investing the difference.

      Regarding commissions – The percentages are irrelevant when the premiums on whole life policies are multiples higher. The larger the premium cost, the more an agent makes. This incentivizes some agents to push clients into higher cost coverage.

  25. We have had Cincinnati Insurance for our autos, home, and rv for about 23 years now. Over the years, we have had 2 auto claims and 1 homeowners claim. I can honestly say they have been a great company for us. We had no problems with any of the claims or service. They are a little more costly but, it’s worth it for the peace of mind. We recently had a State Farm insured hit our son’s vehicle. It was like pulling teeth to get his car repaired correctly.

    Becoming insurance poor, looking for something better, or at least equal to, with lesser price. We have $100.00 deductible on most everything. Friend has Cincinnati Casualty and really likes the way he is treated, and the claims process, and quickness of service. We live in Ohio and would like to lay our policy’s on the table in our home, and be given a quote as well as info on the company.

      It sounds like you have a lot of things to insure! I can understand why it feels like you are “insurance poor.”

      If you are interested in sitting down with a Cincinnati Insurance agent, I would recommend using their “find an agency” feature on their website. Simply put in your address and it will give a result of local agents and agencies in your area. If there are some close to you, I would imagine you could find an agent willing to come to your house. Especially given the number of items you want to insure.

      Another thing you may want to consider is raising your deductibles. $100 is awfully low for things like boats and cars, and will lead to increased premiums.

      At its core, insurance is designed to make you whole again after a financial loss. Not necessarily pay for dents and scratches in your items. If you will have a hard time coming up with $500 or $1000 to cover a deductible after a major accident, it may make sense to reassess the items you own that need insurance.
