As you can see, when it comes to the states where Progressive is available, the company is cheaper in 19 states. In fact, in some states, the difference is huge. Look at Michigan, where Progressive is an astounding 95.7 percent cheaper.

Keep in mind that if you live in Minnesota, Idaho, and West Virginia, you will not be able to procure Progressive insurance.

As you can see, Progressive offers a wide array of discounts. There are some discounts for additions to your vehicle, like adaptive headlights and anti-lock brakes. There are also some for having a new or particularly safe vehicle.

A big one to take note of is the safe driver discount. If you have had no tickets or accidents within the past three years, your policy could cost 31 percent less than those who have had tickets and/or accidents.
