Omni Insurance is one of several insurance companies now operating under the name Good2Go Auto Insurance. The company specializes in bare minimum policies aimed mainly at the non-standard auto insurance market.

About Good2Go Auto Insurance

Omni Insurance was founded in Atlanta, Georgia in 1986, and operated under that name as a subsidiary of American Independent Companies, Inc. for 30 years. In 2016, American Independent re-branded all of its insurance companies under a single name, Good2Go Auto Insurance. All of the company links now redirect to the Good2Go page.

Good2Go Insurance sells basic auto insurance policies, advertising low down payments and cheap rates. They also specialize in insurance coverage for high-risk drivers and can cover drivers with problematic driving history and other issues. They focus on bare bones, legal minimum coverage designed to get drivers what they need to be on the road legally. This is common for non-standard insurance companies catering to high-risk drivers, as it makes the coverage more affordable.

Good2Go itself operates as an agency, referring customers to one of the American Independent companies for coverage. Where they do not write their own coverage, the company will refer out to another insurer with whom they have no direct affiliation.

Good2Go’s headquarters is located in Blue Bell, PA.

Good2Go Auto Insurance

Legal minimum policies are the main product offered by Good2Go, although they do offer comprehensive coverage and collision coverage as options. These are generally aimed at those drivers needing to carry the coverage to meet lender requirements.

The website offers a general overview of auto insurance, but not much in the way of detail regarding their policy. That is because there likely is not much detail to get into; they do not have a lot of extras or add-ons and mainly write policies that meet the state legal minimums.

There are some discounts available with Good2Go auto policies. Three driver discounts are listed: defensive driving course, good driver, and good student. Several policy discounts are also listed: homeownership, multi-vehicle, paid in full, and renewal discounts.

Rates

Good2Go does have an online quoting system, but it requires personal contact information and the system would not accept our sample data to return a quote.

It is likely that this company does have inexpensive rates since they mainly write legal minimum policies. High-risk insurance is always more expensive than that offered by standard companies, however, so this company’s rate will mainly be comparable to other non-standard insurance companies.

Claims

The toll-free claims line is only available during business hours, which are listed as Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Eastern time. No after-hours or emergency line is listed.

There is an email address as well as a fax and regular mailing address also listed for claims.

Beyond the basic contact information, the website offers no information on the claims process for this company.

Ratings and Consumer Reviews

Omni Insurance Group still has an active Better Business Bureau (BBB) page, with an A+ rating and 34 complaints on file in the past three years. There are 11 customer reviews with a one-star rating overall.

The Good2Go BBB page has an A- rating. The 123 complaints filed against the business are listed as the reason for the lowered rating. 29 reviews have been left on this page, again with a one-star rating overall.

Since insurance sold through Good2Go may be underwritten by any of the underlying companies or even outsourced to another company, the customer experience likely varies based on which of the subsidiary companies write the policy.

The Bottom Line

If you are having trouble obtaining insurance, Good2Go may be able to help you – but bear in mind they are offering very basic coverage. Standard drivers or those looking for a more comprehensive policy will do better elsewhere.

  1. One of their drivers hit my car; it was his fault.

Since then I have been trying to call them holding for hours no one is picking up.

When they do, they transfer it to the next available agent and that hold takes hours.

Worst company ever…my car been in the shop for almost a month now it seems like it’s a fake company.

I’m planning on press charges on them because I cannot go to work or anything.

My car is seriously damaged and it needs to be fixed.

I took off a day from work to call them the whole day.

I was calling and not a d^%$ one person spoke with me worst and worst company ever.

I and the others have liability.

The driver has coverage but is currently under the medical state.

Was informed by a police sergeant to call my insurance company to get them to do the work.

Not sure if the driver has insurance because she’s in hospital.

Basically been trying to file a claim and can’t due to good2go is bad2go.

Their claims aren’t open 24 hrs what a waste. I will never use these guys again.

I will pay the expensive company’s knowing I’ll get things resolved.

  4. After a long deal with our accident, we had they sent us a letter that they were no longer helping clients in Washington and were dropping us.

They were the worst anyways on claims.

Now got great insurance with better prices and better services.

  5. A horrible insurance company, jacked my rate up to almost $200 a month for no reason. Will be changing insurance companies when possible. They also give you no grace period on late payments and the late fee is outrageous! They are no better than a bunch of thieves!

    • After our accident claim was dealt with they sent us a letter stating that they aren’t going to be helping customers in Washington anymore and was dropping us.

Worst company ever to deal with our claim anyways. They suck and were too high in premiums. Got a way better plan anyways now

  6. Omni Insurance is THE WORST insurer I have ever dealt with. Not only was I overpaying for years, but when I needed to make a claim I waited on hold for TWO HOURS AND FORTY-EIGHT MINUTES. Not even exaggerating! The adjuster I was assigned when I finally got through had just started a vacation and I couldn’t get any assistance for a full week. Then she was rude on top of it and literally useless. I was in a head-on collision that wasn’t my fault. I called Progressive (their insurance) and had help in minutes with a kind and very helpful person. Then after I deal with all of what an accident entails, I call to get my policy on my new car and my rates went up! Fed up, I went to Progressive and instead of paying 150$- $170 a month it went to $46.00 a month with a more comprehensive policy. Omni Insurance is absolute [redacted]. NEVER EVER USE THEM!!

  7. Absolutely the worst company that I’ve ever encountered. Not able to get assistance on my policy or anyone on the phone for months. Bought a new car and was on hold for hours and had to get a whole different policy from a different company. I am still waiting on my policy for the 2 cars currently with good2go and the site has a 2016 policy with a vehicle that has been deleted from the policy. I can’t even cancel this policy as no one will pick up the phone or reply to my emails.

    • Same problem I’m having. My new insurance agent even tried to get a person on the phone, no response. Bad for business!

  9. Worst company ever. We’ve been with omni for about a year. The last 4-5 month we can’t get a hold of them to make a payment. They charge us the late fee but yet it’s not our fault if we can’t get a hold of them. So we are now going with another company. This company is [redacted]!!!

  10. I had Omni insurance for a little over a year. I cancelled my policy 7/20/17. Omni continued to debit my account for 2 months. I received a refund of $80.19 at the end of Sept. Then got a collection notice at the end of Nov. for a past due balance of $78.60. They have now sent to collections to damage my credit. Some please explain the unprofessionalism of this company. I will be advising anyone who asks, not to use this company! Disgusted!!!

  13. This is the absolute WORST & most UNPROFESSIONAL company we have ever dealed with. One of their customers ruined our car completely. Our car is not even drivable which was discovered after the 3000 dollar worth of repairs .. Our engine has issues now and cannot be driven BEFORE the accident our car was completely fine and bow it isn’t drivable after THEIR customer crashed into us it is as simple as that. These bunch of rip off artists are trying to tell my husband that it wasn’t caused by the accident. He is the nice one and now I’m stepping in and we are getting a lawyer Omni!! I have done my research seen the reviews and complaints and many similar to ours which is really good for our case against you. This company is a joke and they hire all rude and ghetto people to do their business for them. I would rather get auto insurance from dollar tree than ever consider this company!!!

    • I completely agree!!!!

Had the same experience with their ignorant adjuster Bridgette Cordy.

Omni/Good2go auto insurance company needs to be put out of business.

My husband and I will also be consulting an attorney regarding the distress and lack of reimbursement for our vehicle damages from someone who is insured by their company and the lack of reasonable service by this insurance company.

  15. We have been dealing (trying to deal) with them for a week, they have been putting us on hold for over an hour at a time, telling us they would call us back, and not once doing what they say. They were supposed to get us a rental car last week, and didn’t and now we have left messages with the agent [Redacted] her supervisor [Redacted] and Director [Redacted] and not one has called us back. They seem to be pretty dishonest. I’m sure they are trained to tie you up until you give in and make a claim on you’re own insurance, however I will not, and don’t suggest anyone else.
Hold out until they do what they are supposed to.
They will reap what they are sowing.
It will come back on them for their dishonesty.

  16. I guess their best practice is to ignore phone calls and payments. Hit by someone that has this sorry insurance company. Tired of dealing with them. No one has even looked at my car or spoken to me after a week. Calling supervisor doesn’t help. He doesn’t work either. This insurance company must be for those that can’t get insurance by any other company. One of their company’s clients hit me and they act as though I did something wrong! All I can say is BBB (can’t believe they don’t have any) review and attorney!!!!

    Reply
    • I understand Diane, they would never call me back so I filed a BBB complaint one day and the next day the adjustor called me. But by that time I had already hired an attorney to take care of this mess. All I did to inherit this mess was to sit at a traffic light and then five minutes later their client causes a five car pile up. Best thing to do is hire an attorney and have them work for you.

  17. I’m in the process of dealing with Omni at this time for an accident caused by one their own customers. Their client totaled three cars, including mine. Fortunately, my car was fully covered with collision insurance, but I removed the rental car option and had to pay the rental car myself, and now I’m struggling with medical bills. It appears that Omini refuses to answer their phone and not return calls back to agents nor to the injured. So my next step is the lawyer route to what I’ve loss since the accident on 23 Apr. Totally inconsiderate of the injured parties.

  18. I was calling from a medical facility regarding payment. I spoke to [Redacted] who was extremely rude and unprofessional. We had already received a letter of delay of payment. It has been 3 months since we seen the patient. I was asking when could we expect payment. I was told by [Redacted], “I don’t know. It depends on how long it takes to process. When did we receive your claim?” I told him sometime in March and asked, “So are we talking up to a year or what?” He rudely stated, “Why would you say that?” I asked him when could we expect payment and needed a ballpark guess besides I don’t know. He abruptly stated 2 weeks. Hello why didn’t he say that in the first place. His tone and manner were the worst I have ever encountered in the 10 years I have worked in billing.

  19. I am dealing with omni right now . Had an accident at the beginning of March they never called me and I’m still
waiting for them to give me my deductible back. Stating they have to do an investigation. It doesn’t take almost three months to do an investigation.

I have called Omni twice the first time I was 50th in line was on hold for and hour when somebody finally answered they said they couldn’t do anything about it and that I would have to call the post office where I had mailed it from I had my serial number but yet didn’t even bother to look in the system!!Called the post office and they checked and it had been cashed on the 9th. Called Omni was on hold another hour this time the lady was nicer and actually looked on the system but could not find that serial number anywhere so who has my money!!Not only that they went ahead and said I could have it reinstated for the amount of $100 I am planning to cancel as soon as I find out who cashed that money order and get my $97 back!!!

  22. I have a claim against their driver and after 5 months of stalling, their reply is that they will only pay 80% of the claim. (Really?) They are rude and don’t get back to you even though every voice mail states you will receive a call within a day. Wow it’s been 5 months and I finally spoke to someone. I planned to take them and their insured to court, I don’t think I should pay a deductible to my insurance company and wait for months to get my money back. God help you if you have to deal with this company.

    • I have a claim against their driver on June 30,2017 and to this day July 31,2017 my car still in the shop. The car is totalled and waiting to hear from them..no luck. They don’t return calls or pick up the phone or answer emails. My adjuster was a joke, spoke with her once since the accident.

  23. Never had a problem till last month when I changed from full coverage to liability. They charged me same price for liability and did not want to send me the money back without a big argument. Now starts a new month and these people withdrew the payment not a problem but they tried for a second payment the next day leaving my account over drawn. Called and told them Stop automatic withdrawals just to wake up today with another nfs fee because they tried to get more money.
